Dohop Voted World's Leading Flight Comparison Website at the 2014 World Travel Awards

Icelandic flight meta-search Dohop has been selected as "The World's Leading Flight Comparison Website" at the World Travel Awards. The award announcement claims that it is awarded for "the commitment to excellence which the organisation has demonstrated in the last twelve months". The World Travel Awards' 2014 award ceremony was held on the evening of December 7th on the Caribbean island of Anguilla.

The World Travel awards are voted on by people in the travel industry, as well as seasoned travelers. With this win Dohop beat out last year's winner, the American flight search site Kayak, which was acquired by Priceline for $1.8 billion in 2012.

Dohop helps users find flights and is unique in that it often returns itineraries that are unavailable on other sites, a feature Dohop calls Self-Connect. Dohop was founded in 2004 so this award comes on the company's 10th birthday.
