Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan Announces Great Dog Adventure Contest & Vacation Package

LOS ANGELES, April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Renowned dog behaviorist, Cesar Millan will host the first-ever Great Dog Adventure Contest, offering contestants the opportunity to join him and the world's most famous dog, Scooby-Doo, for a lively weekend of canine fun in the sun in San Diego, CA presented by Best Western and Veterinary Pet Insurance.

"I am happy to host the first-ever Great Dog Adventure.  This event will give families an opportunity to spend a fun-filled summer weekend with their dogs, as well as other dog owners, doing things they love," Cesar said.

As part of the inaugural Great Dog Adventure, Cesar Millan and Scooby-Doo will host a grand scavenger hunt along with a special picnic for all in attendance.  At the picnic, guests will welcome the arrival of the famous Mystery Machine along with a Scooby-Doo costumed character.  In addition to spending time with Cesar and Scooby, guests will be provided with Scooby Fun Packs, including items from toys and plush characters to dog accessories and Scooby Snacks.    

Contestants are asked to write an essay, of no more than 200 words (in English), recounting an inspirational story about how, as a pack leader, they worked in tandem with their dog to help others.  All contestants are also asked to submit a single photo, at least of them and their dog.

Three winners will be awarded a grand prize, which includes:

• Participation in a 50-dog Pack Walk in San Diego led by Cesar Millan on June 26, 2010
• Two (2) consecutive nights' hotel accommodations at the Best Western Hacienda Hotel for two adults and 2 children under the age of 17 (double occupancy)
• Ground transportation for all transfers from and to the hotel for off-site adventure events
• Three (3) meals with Cesar Millan including breakfast, picnic lunch, with special guest Scooby-Doo, and dinner at the renowned San Diego Zoo
• VIP tickets to Cesar Live event with VIP pre-party on June 25, 2010
