CHICAGO, Feb. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- According to a recent study, the arctic chill is most likely to generate tropical visions if you are between the ages of 21 and 39. The survey, conducted by The GO Group, LLC, an international ground transportation service provider and GO Airport Express, a GO member and Chicago-based ground transportation company serving O'Hare International and Midway airports, showed that 30 percent of respondents in those age groups were motivated to travel after enduring January's harsh weather conditions.
Overall, however, most travelers are willing to tough it out, with 80 percent of respondents in the other listed age groups reporting the weather has no impact on their travel plans.
"The travel industry should take note of the age group most likely to make travel plans when experiencing extreme weather in their hometowns, and offer vacation packages that would most interest them," says John McCarthy, president of The GO Group.
The GO Group, LLC is a one-stop source for door-to-door airport shuttle services. Its members transport some 13 million passengers to and from airports in the United States, Mexico, Canada and Europe annually. One of the oldest companies in Chicago, GO Airport Express traces its founding to 1853 and the Parmelee Transportation Company, which provided a carriage service between Chicago's railroad stations and the downtown hotels.
