Dodge Dart and Dodge CEO Headline Exclusive Motor Press Guild Meeting
LOS ANGELES, May 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/-- On May 15, Motor Press Guild (MPG), the largest automotive media association in North America, will host its May meeting at The Proud Bird Restaurant in Los Angeles with guest speaker Reid Bigland, president and chief executive officer of the Dodge brand. Reid will show off production models of the Dodge Dart, the company's first new compact car since 1995, and give an update on Chrysler Group's California initiative, as well as a sales and business update for the entire company.
"The resurrected Dodge Dart is perhaps the most significant vehicle we've seen from Chrysler in the past few years," said Laura Burstein, president, Motor Press Guild. "Mr. Bigland's presentation will be a rare opportunity to hear the inside story of a company that has gone from bankruptcy to recently reporting its strongest quarterly profit in 13 years."
Reid Bigland was appointed President and CEO for the Dodge brand and the Head of U.S. Sales, Chrysler Group LLC in June 2011. In addition to full responsibility for the Dodge brand, Bigland is in charge of sales strategy, dealer relations and operations, order facilitation, incentives and field operations in the U.S.
