U.S. Tax Preparers Save Valuable Time by Going Digital
In the United States, more than 90 percent of the 110 million tax returns filed annually are filed electronically. Yet Intuit shares that 60 percent of accountants report wasted hours collecting signatures on Form 8879 which authorizes tax preparers to file their client's tax returns electronically. As the U.S. tax filing season is now in full-swing, DocuSign and Intuit report early partnership success now that DocuSign is directly embedded into Intuit's professional tax products including ProSeries, Lacerte, Intuit Tax Online, and TurboTax Personal Professional – making it faster for accountants to securely prepare, execute and manage tax forms and filings on behalf of their clients. Intuit customers taking advantage of Intuit eSignature powered by DocuSign have experienced an average of $13 savings per document, and reduced filing turnaround times of as little as 7 hours.
Intuit's integration with DocuSign offers secure, legally enforceable electronic signatures in the completion of Internal Revenue Service Forms 8878 and 8879. When ready to file a return, the tax professional selects the DocuSign eSignature option within the Intuit product to send their clients a link to encrypted documents requiring signature. Clients can access DocuSign and sign documents from any supported mobile or desktop device, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_O3T27P75Q&feature=youtu.be.
"I can't imagine a professional tax preparer not wanting to take advantage of what Intuit and DocuSign have created," said Jennifer Jones, owner of Jenderuss Forensic Accounting Services. "My ROI is 100 percent – with Intuit and DocuSign everything is digital, safe and secure, and my clients love the speed and ease of signing tax forms from the palm of their hands."

DocuSign's Expanding Digital Global Footprint
Supporting its marketing-leading position as the standard for DTM, DocuSign is the only Carrier Grade Digital Transaction Management platform and eSignature solution offering customers data storage in North America or the European Union (EU). The company's new data centers in Germany and the Netherlands utilize the same Carrier Grade Architecture as DocuSign's other data centers for always-on, continuous availability and the resiliency to withstand traffic spikes or even full site disaster scenarios without data loss or service interruptions.
"Our customers trust DocuSign with their most important, often mission-critical business transactions," said DocuSign's Chief Technology Officer Grant Peterson. "We're pleased to replicate the always-on availability of our industry-leading Carrier Grade Architecture and Bank Grade Security to our new data centers in the EU to empower anyone to transact anytime, anywhere, on any device securely on The DocuSign Global Trust Network."
DocuSign has also launched Brazilian Digital Signature support, making it the first and only DTM solution capable of executing Brazilian government-regulated business transactions. Now, Brazilian businesses can use their existing smart card-based digital certificates from ICP Brasil, the Brazilian government-managed Certificate Authority, with DocuSign in the cloud.
