SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- DocuSign, Inc. (DocuSign®) announced that its philanthropic initiative, DocuSign IMPACT, has partnered with Box, Okta, the Salesforce Foundation, Twilio.org, and others to drive the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Commitment to Action geared toward expediting the deployment of volunteers during times of humanitarian disaster and need. The Commitment to Action aims to unite top cloud-technology platforms with leading NGOs and NGO communities like Team Rubicon and NetHope to develop and implement an integrated cloud portal to enable rapid volunteer onboarding and resource allocation immediately following major disasters. DocuSign will offer DocuSign for Nonprofits to the Commitment to Action to help eliminate paper, cut costs, and expedite volunteer resource deployment to areas affected by disaster.
"Accelerating the ability of relief NGOs to deploy volunteer resources efficiently is directly aligned to DocuSign IMPACT's strategy of transforming lives by transforming charities," said Amy Skeeters-Behrens, Executive Director, DocuSign IMPACT. "We're thrilled to partner with leading tech companies like Box, Okta, the Salesforce Foundation and Twilio.org to drive this CGI Commitment to Action and help NGOs improve their processes so they can quickly get aid to people in need devastated by disaster."
DocuSign also announced earlier this month the addition of two new members to the DocuSign IMPACT Advisory Board: Adriana Quintero, Senior Attorney & Director of Partner Engagement, NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council), and M.R. Rangaswami, Managing Director, Sandhilll Group and Founder, Corporate Eco Forum and Indiaspora. Quintero and Rangaswami join other Advisory Board members including Bob Berdelle (United Way), Rob Rosen (Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation), Vicky Escarra (Opportunity International), Carolyn Woo (Catholic Relief Services), Christoph Gorder (Charity : Water), Tom Friel (Silicon Valley Community Foundation), and Jim Gibbons (Goodwill).
DocuSign IMPACT is organized around three pillars of corporate philanthropy: employee volunteerism, the creation of the DocuSign IMPACT Foundation to match employee donations, and product discounts on DocuSign for Nonprofits for qualifying charities. DocuSign IMPACT empowers employee volunteerism with three days paid-time-off annually for every employee to volunteer in their communities.
