Docstoc and SCORE Partner to Expand Web Site Document Gallery for Entrepreneurs
WASHINGTON, Feb. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- SCORE, America's premier source of free and confidential small business advice for entrepreneurs, and Docstoc, Inc. announced a strategic alliance designed to help millions of entrepreneurs find the documentation they need to start, manage and grow their small business. The alliance combines SCORE's deep knowledge and experience helping entrepreneurs get their ideas off the ground with Docstoc's expertise at curating the wide variety of documents and reference material needed to formulate, fund and execute their business visions.
Docstoc is teaming with SCORE to help expand its web site document gallery which includes templates, forms, guidelines and other material designed to provide entrepreneurs and small businesses with the documentation they need. Using Docstoc's proprietary Document Viewer, material will be available for preview, printing and downloading in a variety of formats, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel and Adobe PDF.
"SCORE is committed to partnering with best-in-class companies to provide the services entrepreneurs need to start and understand their business," said SCORE CEO Ken Yancey. "Docstoc will help us grow our collection of business documents and templates and allow us to provide an unparalleled combination of business advice and documentation to the leaders of tomorrow."
Research by the American Bankers Association's Economic Advisory Committee, a group of economists for large banks, anticipates that 2.1 million new jobs will be created in 2011, especially near year end. Such job growth, the research says, will be spurred by small business expansion, which they forecast to nearly double that of 2010, when 1.1 million jobs were added.
"With the expected explosion in small business growth, this alliance combines the strength of both SCORE and Docstoc to deliver a needed one-stop experience for entrepreneurs everywhere," said Tucker Smith, vice president of business development at Docstoc. "By adding Docstoc's vast library to SCORE's current template offering, we're making it even easier for people to understand what it takes to get a business idea off the ground and then manage it to success."
