WATERTOWN, Mass., Jan. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Doble Engineering Company and Xplore Technologies have developed the Doble Universal Controller™ (DUC™) iXDUC120, a rugged tablet computer powerful enough to operate Doble's suite of high voltage test equipment and software solutions while being tough enough to withstand the rigors of electrical field testing.

The DUC provides the processing power necessary to run advanced software in the field, which is not possible with other commercial tablets. The DUC is designedfor durability so customers can rely on it for their critical testing needs; it meets the latest in certification requirements for industrial use, the same requirements expected of test instruments. The DUC operates a number of Doble's test equipment and software solutions, including the M-Series insulation analyzers, F-Series power system simulators and Doble's suite of partial discharge solutions. It is waterproof, sunlight readable and offers Wi-Fi, Ethernet and general packet radio service (GPRS) connectivity.
