DNAinfo.com New York's Murray Weiss Wins New York Press Club Award

NEW YORK, June 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- DNAinfo.com New York, the city's leading neighborhood news source, congratulates its Criminal Justice Editor and "On the Inside" Columnist Murray Weiss for winning a top New York Press Club Award for his reporting on the Baby Hope murder investigation. It's his third Press Club award since joining DNAinfo.com four years ago.

Weiss was the first to report that the NYPD had cracked the "Baby Hope" murder case, which had been unsolved since 1991 when an unidentified 4-year-old girl was found dead in a cooler in Washington Heights, by identifying the child's mother. He also broke the story when the prime suspect, the girl's cousin, was arrested.
