DMI to Provide Enterprise-Wide IT Solutions for the Department of Veterans Affairs
Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology (T4) Program Is Critical to Modernization of the VA's IT Infrastructure
BETHESDA, Md., Nov. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- DMI (http://www.DMInc.com), a leading IT solutions and business strategy consulting firm, announced today that it is joining 7 Delta, Inc.'s and Harris Corp.'s teams to support the Department of Veterans Affairs' Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in streamlining and modernizing its IT infrastructure through the Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology (T4) Program.
According to Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric K. Shinseki, the VA launched the T4 program as an effort to modernize its IT infrastructure—part of a wider effort to transform the VA into a 21st Century organization. The program will enable the VA to acquire services for information technology services that will ensure timely delivery of health care and benefits to veterans.
The T4 program changes the way the VA acquires technology services. Instead of utilizing blanket contracts through the General Services Administration, the T4 program enables the VA to quickly and directly engage with IT vendors. Through the T4 program, VA has engaged robust IT companies capable of providing technology strategy and services that encompass the full range of the VA's long-term technology needs. DMI was selected for this contract because of its deep expertise in IT strategy, cybersecurity, and program management. DMI will provide the VA with solutions that encompass a wide range of IT requirements, including:
- Program Management, Strategy, Enterprise Architecture and Planning Support
- Systems/Software Engineering
- Software Technology Demonstration and Transition
- Test and Evaluation (T&E)
- Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V)
- Enterprise Network Management
- Enterprise Management Framework Development
- Cybersecurity Services
- Operations and Maintenance (O&M)
- Training
- IT Facilities Support
"We are very pleased to work with the VA as they modernize their existing information technology strategy and infrastructure," said Jay Sunny Bajaj, DMI's President and CEO. "Our core competency in transforming enterprises through the application of the latest IT strategies and technologies allows us to deliver unique value to the Veterans' Administration. We are honored to bring our skills and experience to bear enabling the VA to better serve our veterans."
