For the ninth time, the DLD Conference takes place from January 20 to 22 in Munich. Starting Monday, January 21, a series of interdisciplinary discussions will be presented by Hans Ulrich Obrist, Co-Director of the Serpentine Gallery London. This year the series focus on new projects of collaboration and participation, including Michelangelo Pistoletto, the panel 89+ curated by Obrist and Simon Castets, and digital artist Aaron Koblin.

A conversation with Italian artist and Arte Povera Pioneer Michelangelo Pistoletto about his new art initiative The Third Paradise. Advocating an emerging era of global responsibility for our planet and our civilisation, Pistoletto's participatory art project is a call to unite and act globally and to embrace a new collective awareness that focuses on an emerging new era of humanity, bringing together both nature and the artificial.

San Francisco based artist Aaron Koblin and digital artist Chris Milk from Los Angeles talk about participation and collaboration in online environments. They present several online collaborative art projects, highlighting also their mutual project This Exquisite Fores which recently launched at TATE Modern, London.

DLD ARTS commissioned This Exquisite Forest (2012) by digital artists Aaron Koblin and Chris Milk to invite participants to collectively create a connecting DLD pattern and common artwork online. Also on view is an exhibition with curated artworks for screens and mobile displays by s[edition], London, featuring digital artworks by Elmgreent & Dragset, Jenny Holzer, Michael Craig-Martin and Peter Saville, and others.

Curating DLD (2007-2012) sums up interdisciplinary art panels and art projects curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist for DLD.
