DLA Piper Named North America International Law Firm of the Year, North America Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year, and San Francisco Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year
PALO ALTO, Calif., Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- DLA Piper announced today that the firm is the recipient of three Americas Tax Awards from International Tax Review, a leading publication dedicated to international tax strategy. The firm has been named the 2011 North America International Law Firm of the Year, the North America Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year, and the San Francisco Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year.
The fifth annual Americas Tax Awards were presented September 29, 2010 at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York. The awards recognize firms that demonstrate the most innovative client work in North and South America between June 2009 and June 2010.
"We are pleased that International Tax Review has once again recognized the outstanding efforts of DLA Piper's leading international tax practice," said David Colker, global chair of DLA Piper's Tax practice. "This latest recognition highlights the firm's continued ability to seamlessly handle the most complex, cross-border tax needs of our clients. I congratulate the entire team on this well-deserved honor."
The awards were presented to firms in 15 jurisdictions or city areas, and were judged by a panel of tax directors based on three criteria: size, innovation, and complexity. International Tax Review's team of journalists undertakes detailed research, seeking industry peer and client feedback as part of its award review process.
