On August 21, 2014, Reuters reported that Taiwan's government is looking to sell 177 million shares of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSMC) in 2015 to raise TWD21.3 billion ($710 million). According to the report, the move is a part of the Taiwan government's plan to plug the country's budget deficit. (SanDisk) announced wider support for VMware® Horizon 6 and Virtual SAN™ with the introduction of a series of virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and end user computing (EUC) solutions for Horizon 6. SanDisk stated that with this launch it is utilizing its ULLtraDIMM™ solid state drive (SSD) and Fusion ioMemory which, when combined with VMware's Horizon 6, will allow customers to deploy high-performance, cost-effective virtual desktop infrastructure solutions and increase virtual desktop density. Also, with the combination of solid-state hardware and software technology, SanDisk is enabling organizations select right deployment option for their environment so they can increase flexibility and reduce potential barriers to adoption. Aruba Networks, Inc. Research Reports
On August 26, 2014, Aruba Networks, Inc. (Aruba) reported its Q4 FY 2014 financial results (period ended July 31, 2014). Total revenue was up 32.5% YoY to $202.9 million. Net loss during the quarter narrowed to $4.1 million, or $0.04 per diluted share, compared with net loss of $15.6 million, or $0.14 per diluted share, in Q4 FY 2013. On a non-GAAP basis, net income was $27.6 million, or $0.24 per diluted share, compared with $15.8 million, or $0.13 per diluted share in Q4 FY 2013. According to NASDAQ, analysts polled by Reuters expected Aruba's earnings for Q4 FY 2014 to be at $0.23 per share. Aruba's adjusted operating margin in the quarter jumped to 20.0% from 14.7% in Q4 FY 2013; however for full year FY 2014 adjusted operating margin declined to 17.6% compared with 18.6% reported in FY 2013.
