DiversityNXT at 2012 CTIA Wireless Conference in New Orleans
Technology Industry Group hosts premier showcase for diversity suppliers
NEW ORLEANS, April 19, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Technology Industry Group (TIG), along with International CTIA WIRELESS® 2012, is hosting DiversityNXT, a day-long, pre-conference event, Monday, May 7, at New Orleans' Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
The DiversityNXT forum is the premier showcase for thought leadership regarding diversity in the wireless supply chain. It brings the foremost wireless industry experts together with the diverse supply chain in a setting designed for sharing knowledge and building relationships.
This year's forum features breakfast speaker, Michael Ricks, District Director, Louisiana SBA, discussing his Vision of the Wireless Industry for the Next 3 to 5 Years. A former small-business entrepreneur and life member of the Disabled American Veterans, Mr. Ricks brings a unique viewpoint to the diverse supplier's role in the wireless industry's future.
The morning also includes a View from the Top panel discussion where top industry executives and supply chain leaders, Keith Connolly, Vice President of Consumer Supply Chain at AT&T, Ann Deardorff, Senior Director, Procurement Operations and Strategy at Motorola Mobility, Inc., Sean Murphy, Vice President, Global Commodity Management at Research in Motion (RIM), and Eugene Agee, Vice President, Procurement & Real Estate, Sprint Nextel Corporation provide insight on Procurement Roadmaps for the Next 3 to 5 Years. Oliver Turman, AT&T Global Business and Operations Sourcing Director, will moderate.
A special luncheon will feature keynote speaker Michael Rogers, one of the nation's leading experts on technology's impact on business and society, sharing his Vision of the Wireless Industry. Mr. Rogers runs a New York-based consultancy called the Practical Futurist. The luncheon will include the Sixth Annual DiversityNXT Awards honoring the accomplishments of one corporation and one diverse supplier who have made great strides into the "next generation" of the wireless industry.
The forum continues with an afternoon of pre-scheduled corporate matchmaker sessions offering one-on-one meetings between diverse suppliers and participating corporations. The day concludes with a networking reception.
DiversityNXT is free to all registered CTIA attendees, but space for the luncheon and Matchmaker sessions is limited and requires pre-registration.
