'Diversity Explosion' Takes Center Stage At The Institute's 2015 Executive Networking Conference, April 9-10
DURHAM, N.C., April 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- This year's featured presenter for The Institute's 2015 Executive Networking Conference is Dr. William Frey, renowned demographer and author of the book "Diversity Explosion." The 2015 Executive Networking Conference will be held April 9-10 at the Raleigh Marriott City Center located at 500 Fayetteville Street in Raleigh, North Carolina. The event is sponsored by The Institute and the Carolinas-Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council. The conference theme is: "THE DIVERSITY EXPLOSION: Addressing Challenges and Building Diverse Business Opportunities" through substantive business conversations and educational workshops. ENC welcomes minority business leaders, corporate executives, procurement managers, non-profit and higher education representatives, and government officials to join the conversation.
The two-day conference will offer an HBCU Pre-Conference Forum along with panel discussions on Thursday, April 9, around the $2 billion enterprise of Historically Black Colleges and Universities in North Carolina. Joining in this conversation will be Congresswoman Alma Adams, a member of the U.S. House Sub-committee on Higher Education, and luncheon speaker Congressman G.K. Butterfield, Chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus. The annual Willie Deese CEO dinner promotes opportunities for networking and relationship building in conjunction with an awards program honoring corporate leadership, commitment to supplier diversity, and youth entrepreneurship. In the morning on Friday, April 10, Frey will discuss the Diversity Explosion, and afternoon sessions will focus on Supplier Diversity; Diversity and Capital; Analytics and Big Data.
