District Administration Names ALEKS and StudySync from McGraw-Hill Education to Readers' Choice Top 100 Products for 2014
District Administration magazine's annual awards program recognizes personalized digital solutions' ability to enhance learning experiences
NEW YORK, Dec. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- McGraw-Hill Education today announced that two of its personalized digital learning solutions for K-12, ALEKS® and StudySync®, have been selected by educators and leaders as part of District Administration magazine's Readers' Choice Top 100 Products list for 2014.
As announced in the December 2014 issue of District Administration, the award winners were selected by District Administration's editors from more than 2,400 nominations. The magazine's annual list aims to inform superintendents and other senior school district leaders of the solutions that their colleagues around the country have found to be most effective in helping their students excel.
"We are honored and excited that ALEKS and StudySync have been named on District Administration's 2014 Readers' Choice list, particularly because of just who those readers are: the district leaders who have had the opportunity to see our digital learning solutions in action," said Christine Willig, president of McGraw-Hill Education, School. "At McGraw-Hill Education, we are committed to delivering personalized solutions that support teachers, engage students and drive real, meaningful learning experiences, and we could not be prouder that educators have recognized the value of that commitment in ALEKS and StudySync."
- ALEKS is an adaptive, online math program that uses artificial intelligence and open-response questioning to identify precisely what each student knows and doesn't know. Through truly individualized learning and assessment, ALEKS delivers a personalized learning path on the exact topics each student is most ready to learn.
- StudySync is the premier digital, core English Language Arts curriculum for students in Grades 6-12 and was built in direct response to the development of the new national academic standards. StudySync brings together hundreds of fiction and nonfiction texts with video and other multimedia resources into engaging Thematic Units to advance student reading, writing, speaking, listening and critical thinking skills. StudySync is the flagship product of BookheadEd Learning, LLC. In March 2014, McGraw-Hill Education became the exclusive distributor for StudySync in the U.S.
"With the Top 100 award program steadily growing in size and recognition each year, all of our 2014 honorees should be very proud of their success," said JD Solomon, editorial director, District Administration. "We hope that all of our readers continue to be inspired and find innovative ideas from their peers who have had successful product implementations."
