DistribuTECH 2015 Expected To Be Largest In Event History
The world's largest electricity T&D show is on track to draw more than 10,000 attendees.
SAN DIEGO, Jan. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- PennWell Corp.'s DistribuTECH Conference & Exhibition—along with sister events Electric Light & Power Executive Conference and Utility Products Exposition—is expected to shatter records with more than 10,000 attendees and 480 exhibiting companies.
The world's largest utilities will participate in the events Feb. 2-5 at the San Diego Convention Center, including EDF, Duke Energy, Iberdrola, PG&E, Southern California Edison, Florida Power & Light, Dominion and Hydro-Quebec.

DistribuTECH, the world's largest and most comprehensive transmission and distribution event, begins Monday, Feb. 2 with pre-conference Utility University workshops. That evening, the industry's most coveted ticket will get some 250 VIPs into the Electric Light & Power and POWERGRID International Annual Awards Dinner. There, four utility Projects of the Year will be announced live, and the magazines will honor two Utility CEOs of the Year: Edison International Chairman, President and CEO and Edison Electric Institute Chairman Theodore "Ted" Craver, and Vineland Municipal Electric Utilities Director Joseph A. Isabella. To cap the night, Dominion Chairman, President and CEO Thomas F. Farrell will accept one of the industry's highest honors, the Electric Light & Power Utility of the Year award.
Tuesday morning, Craver will take a much bigger stage, this time with world-famous physicist Michio Kaku and San Diego Gas & Electric CEO Jeff Martin. The trio will deliver the DistribuTECH keynote address. Immediately afterward, the conference will kick off. Nearly all of the 82 conference sessions during the week will feature a utility participant. The week also will include numerous events designed for networking.
