Disneyland Holidays From Cosmos: Theme Park Tricks and Tips
LONDON, May 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
The Easter holidays are long gone and school kids across the country are counting down the days of the summer term. There's no better way to reward a hard-working youngster and keep them fighting to be in your good books than the promise of a trip to Disneyland. But with thousands of tourists booking Florida holidays during the school holidays, families can find it difficult to really make the most of all the amazing sights and activities on offer. Today Cosmos have released their top theme park tricks and tips, helping holidaymakers of all ages to make the most of their Disney Holidays.
MagicKingdom: This popular park gets extremely busy during the summer months and it usually takes full two days to see everything it has to offer. A Fast Pass system allows visitors to take a ticket for attractions that have a 45 minute wait or longer, but is restricted to one every two hours. Visitors should plan to use their Fast Passes for the biggest attractions, such as Space Mountain, Peter Pan's Flight and Pirates of the Caribbean. Families with small children should head to Mickey's Toon Town first, which opens at 10am and has much smaller queues in the morning.
Insider's Tip: Head straight to the back of the park to escape the crowds, as most visitors will jump on the first ride they see.
Epcot: This huge park can be demanding on legs and feet, so families should work out beforehand exactly which sections they will enjoy the most. Intelligent holidaymakers head to Soarin as early as possible to beat the crowds, then get a Fast Pass for Test Track before riding Mission Space.
Insider's Tip: Adrenaline junkies should skip the colourful parades between the rides to spend more time whizzing upside down.
Hollywood Studios: Toy Story is one of Disney's most amazing experiences and not to be missed. Families should grab a Fast Pass ticket as soon as they can, then enjoy the fantastic Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast shows as they wait. Those with older children should allow at least an hour to experience the famous vertical drop of the Tower of Terror.
Insider's Tip: Eat early or late to avoid the crowds and hit the big rides at midday to 2pm, or 5pm to 7pm.
Animal Kingdom: Visitors should use their Fast Passes wisely for the Kilimanjaro Safari, Expedition Everest and Kali River Rapids. The Lion King show has a very high capacity, so is a great activity for families to enjoy together whilst they wait for their turn on the big rides.
Insider's Tip: Don't sleep in - almost half of the park visitors will arrive after noon, leaving the early birds to enjoy a relatively quiet morning.
