MIAMI, May 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Discovery Cruise Line announced that, during the summer of 2011, families traveling with children will be able to cruise for less because Discovery is offering its cruises free to one child under 12 per family. According to Hanns J. Hahn, Vice President and General Manager of Discovery, "We know that economic conditions have provided challenges for families wanting to vacation together, so we want to make it easier by offering free cruises to at least one child under 12 in a family."
There is also a Kids Club onboard. Club Discovery focuses on providing a learning experience with an emphasis on marine life and marine experiences. Club mascots include a blue whale, a red octopus, a yellow starfish and a pink conch. Additional club activities include arts and crafts, face painting, Xbox games, board games, cartoons, movies, and much more. Regular prices for Fun Day Cruises are only $59.99 for children 12 and under and $45 for those under 2.
