DiscoverReady Leverages Equivio's Relevance for Predictive Coding
As part of an expanded technology alliance, DiscoverReady has integrated Equivio's predictive coding application, Relevance, into its managed review, i-Decision® and Dynamic Data Analysis™ (DDA) services.
NEW YORK, June 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- DiscoverReady, a leading provider of legal discovery management services for Fortune 500 legal departments and law firms, and Equivio, a provider of software used in the litigation support realm, today announced the integration of the Equivio Relevance predictive coding application, as part of DiscoverReady's managed review and Dynamic Data Analysis™ (DDA) services.
Over three years ago, DiscoverReady adopted Equivio's near-duplicates and email threads technology within its managed review service to increase consistency and speed. In addition, the technology was integrated within its DDA services to quickly gain case knowledge, enabling the provision of full discovery cost estimates and the formulation of cost-reducing strategies.
"We are pleased to deepen our relationship with Equivio," stated Jim Wagner, CEO at DiscoverReady. "Having processed millions of documents through Relevance since implementation in 2011, we believe that this technology alliance will drive immense value for our customers. Equivio's best-of-breed predictive coding solution allows us to ensure that we deliver a higher percentage of responsive documents, while also accelerating document review and reducing the overall cost of litigation for our clients. It one of the many tools that we use to deliver on our goal of being the largest discovery service provider that reviews the least amount of documents."
The recent integration of Relevance to inject predictive coding into DiscoverReady's services helps reduce review volumes and costs, while further enhancing the consistency and quality of its managed review, i-Decision® Automated Review and DDA services. Compared to incumbent approaches, which are based on keyword searching and linear review, Relevance enables the review of fewer documents while discovering more of the relevant documents.
"DiscoverReady is a true pioneer in the provision of automated document review solutions that increase review efficiency and reduce review costs," said Amir Milo, CEO of Equivio. "Within the framework of this alliance, our technology and strategy teams are working in tandem to enable DiscoverReady to optimize the use of Equivio technology within its managed e-discovery process. Moreover, the alliance provides a framework for us to explore new avenues for enhancement of the business process of litigation and the development of new analytic applications."
