ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Feb. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Vinoy® Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club has unveiled a new design for all 361 guest rooms, lobby and veranda areas. Leo A. Daly, an award-winning architecture and interior design firm, used the St. Petersburg, FL hotel's history as inspiration to create a personal retreat for guests.

New Guest Room Design

Inspired by the waterfront location, the Tampa Bay hotel rooms were transformed into personal havens with colors, fabrics and unexpected accents. A pearl-colored, woven leather headboard produces a striking focal point against the sea mist-painted wall and showcases the dark coral upholstery. Seating options include a versatile, smaller-scale ottoman and a coral lounge chair. In the suites, the sofa fabric provides references to the beach with accents of blue and sea green. Bathrooms were upgraded with new wall coverings, sconces and mirror frames. Luxurious amenities such as pillow-top mattresses, Frette linens, flat-screen TVs and more were also added in guest rooms. Renovated guest rooms start at $159 per night.

Lobby Upgrade

This summer, the Tampa Bay hotel will upgrade its lobby and reposition the front desk area to create a lounge-like feel with more seating while adding a library, cafe and sundries shop. The property plans to put in an indoor and outdoor bar to provide more service to the veranda that already offers seating and a fire pit.
