Disability Software receives US Patent for secure sharing of private information on mobile devices
Therap Services releases mobile apps to track service collection data and document electronic medication administration records
WATERBURY, Conn., Sept. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Therap Services received United States Patent #8,528,056 September 3, 2013 for managing secure sharing of information across security domains via a communication link, including the internet, wireless communications, mobile devices, telephone network and electronic messaging. Therap mobile apps for the developmental disability community reflect components of the patent.
Therap's Android mobile app enables service data collection at source with electronic visit verification, electronic medication administration records, and password reset from users' handheld devices. The mobile ISP data collection features include GPS location, voice-to-text functionality, built-in camera, and touch signatures to help comply with state and federal Medicaid reimbursement requirements and proof of service delivery. The mobile MAR includes images of medications, allergies, diagnoses, administration type and status for scheduled and PRN medications.
Data recorded in the Therap Android app can be accessed through Therap's secure cloud based applications to generate reports for service planning and goal tracking, and MAR monthly reports. Service data can be used to calculate billing units for submission to state Medicaid. Therap ensures data security and integrity with time/date stamped documents and electronic signatures. Therap keeps track of activities within the system including the IP address of the device to meet HIPAA and audit requirements for agencies.
