DISA Selects Intelligent Decisions for Communications Testing Solutions

ASHBURN, Va., June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Intelligent Decisions, Inc. (ID), a premier global technology solutions provider specializing in Information Technology capabilities, was selected to provide the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) with the IDOptimize testing module, previously known as StreamlinID, for testing and debugging of sensitive information in cryptology equipment.  DISA is an organization within the Department of Defense responsible for global net-centric enterprise infrastructures and advanced communications for the United States' Executive Leadership and military.

The IDOptimize automated test module is one in a comprehensive line of tools featured in the IDOptimize Test Suite, a meta-test engine that uses specialized test subsystems to create problem solving test scenarios.  The test suite is a managed device designed to be user friendly and to collect a specific set of information with as few variables as possible to ease analysis and long term trend identification.  

IDOptimize is an added value to ID's breadth of Innovative Solutions.  This mobile test module comes standard with equipment for testing two endpoints.  A combination of software and hardware products include handsets, all necessary cables, Windows XP Professional Notebooks configured according to the Standard Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) for DoD systems , handsets and crypto cards all  packaged in  hardened mobile carrying cases for safe storing and transporting.  These systems run a custom application that guides the Tester though the testing process and provides tone generation and recording through automated software-based noise generators and signal recorders.

IDOptimize test modules are in use in the Air Force, Navy and on the Executive Leadership Aircraft.  It has also been approved for testing on other platforms.  Current plans are to deploy it for expanded use for additional testing, and to implement additional modules to enhance the ability to measure overall platform performance including solutions for IPV6, VOIP, IA assessments and an enterprise reporting engine.
