DirectView and xG Technology Complete Successful Initial Tests of Body-Worn Camera Solution Integrated with xMax Private Mobile Broadband Technology
Companies plan to expand beta phase to field testing in the coming weeks as initial tests demonstrate full networking functionality and seamless video transmission quality
NEW YORK, June 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- DirectView Holdings, Inc. (OTC: DIRV) ("DirectView" or the "Company"), a company focused on ownership and management of leading video and security technology companies, today announced the completion of successful initial testing of its body-worn camera integrated with the xMax private mobile broadband technology developed by xG Technology, Inc. ("xG") (NASDAQ: XGTI) (XGTIW), a developer of wireless communications and spectrum sharing technologies.
DirectView and xG conducted initial integration and testing of the new DirectView body-worn camera units at xG's central engineering facility in Sunrise, FL. Initial test results showed that DirectView's camera hardware was easily recognized by the xMax system, and that video transmissions were seamlessly supported over the xMax network. Both companies intend to expand the beta phase of testing to include field testing of the consolidated DirectView/iMax solution with law enforcement and other security related agencies in the coming months in preparation for a full product launch later this year.
Roger Ralston, CEO and Board Chairman of DirectView, said, "These successful initial tests represent a significant step forward as we work diligently toward the launch of our unique body-worn camera solution with xG. By combining our technologies we can offer a seamless video communications solution for security, law enforcement and other organizations needing a reliable, always on, fully encrypted point to point mobile solution. We look forward to the completion of further testing with xG including the expansion of our beta program into actual field testing in the coming months as we prepare for launch."
