Direct Lift® Gives MustangMedic a Lift on Popular YouTube Series
MADISON, Ind., June 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Direct Lift, North America's leading enthusiast lift brand, is helping the innovative MustangMedic restoration show produced in Cathedral City, Calif., boost productivity by providing the shop with its first vehicle lift. After spending three years restoring Ford Mustangs and posting more than 4,000 YouTube videos that document each project, the MustangMedic team can finally get a vehicle in the air where it is easier to work on. MustangMedic received its 9,000 lb. capacity Direct Lift DL9 two-post lift in May.

At MustangMedic, each element of the restoration process is filmed from day one until the vehicle is sold. All videos are posted to YouTube, so clients can follow along as their Mustangs are brought back to life. Since the shop handles several project cars at a time and each car can generate three to four video updates a day, the MustangMedic YouTube channel is constantly updated with new content.
"We met William Wieting, owner of MustangMedic, at last year's SEMA Show and really appreciated his enthusiasm for Mustangs and classic cars," says David Fischmer, marketing manager for Vehicle Service Group (VSG), Direct Lift's parent company. "When we checked out his YouTube channel, we were blown away by the sheer volume of information he provides his customers. MustangMedic's daily project updates offer a unique opportunity to engage with both clients and the public, and we wanted to get involved."
The DL9 two-post lift provided by Direct Lift features asymmetric arms that provide better access to manufacturer-recommended pickup points. The arms position the vehicle toward the rear of the repair bay, so technicians can easily enter and exit the vehicle without worrying about dinging doors on the lift columns. The lift's powder coat finish ensures durability and all hydraulic hoses are routed internally for improved aesthetics.
"It is awesome," says Wieting of the DL9 lift. "It is a simple installation. They did it in just a few hours. We believe in Direct Lift. We're very grateful for an excellent product and we can't recommend it more."
MustangMedic's videos have more than 3 million views and there are more than 7,000 subscribers to the growing channel. Each project car has its own playlist, so viewers can watch all of its videos back-to-back. To become a subscriber, visit www.youtube.com/user/MustangMedicdotcom or www.mustangmedic.com.
