Direct Auto & Life Insurance to Reward Community Heroes During Black History Month
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Jan. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of the company's celebration of Black History Month, Direct Auto & Life Insurance is accepting nominations for community heroes in the areas they serve.
Up to $2,250 of cash prizes will be awarded to outstanding citizens who are making a positive impact on their community through volunteer service, mentorship or dedication of their resources.
"We believe in celebrating diversity and inclusion among our employees, as well as the folks we serve," said Jack Campbell, Chief Operations Officer of Direct Auto & Life Insurance. "In observing Black History Month, we want to create a platform that celebrates our customers and their communities. We feel that honoring the people who are going above and beyond to make a difference in those communities is a great way to do that."
Nominations for the contest can be submitted by filling out a brief entry form at a Direct store location or online at www.directgeneral.com/BHM between Jan. 18 and Feb. 15. A selection committee will review the nominations and reward three finalists.
- Grand Prize: $1,000
- Second Place: $750
- Third Place: $500
In addition, the three individuals whose nominations are selected will receive a $100 gift card for their participation. The winners of the contest will be notified prior to March 1.
