"As two California-based companies known for innovation, we're very pleased to partner with MOGL – our first dining rewards partner - to offer Elevate members a new earning option that fits their busy, connected lifestyles," said Phil Seward, Director of Loyalty at Virgin America. "Whether they are dining for business or for pleasure, we think our most frequent guests will appreciate this opportunity to convert dining experiences into Virgin America rewards. Also, as giving back to the community is a part of the Virgin brand's DNA – we really appreciated the donation platform that MOGL has created with the Meal for a Meal program and it helped to differentiate them from other businesses in the category."
The latest partnership with MOGL offers Virgin America's tech-forward guests more options for earning reward points during their business trip or leisure getaway. MOGL is the fastest-growing restaurant loyalty program on the west coast and the first company chosen to satisfy the dining category for Virgin America's Elevate Frequent Flyer Program – which also includes partnerships with some of the world's most popular travel, shopping and lifestyle brands.
Elevate is Virgin America's first-of-its-kind loyalty program, which offers guests the ability to redeem points for any unsold seat – on any Virgin America flight, at any time - with no blackout dates. Elevate offers one of the industry's most generous and easy-to-redeem flight reward programs, as few as four roundtrips or 2,500 points can earn members a reward flight.** Last summer, Virgin America announced a suite of enhancements to its Elevate program – including new Elevate Gold and Elevate Silver status levels with a host of traveler perks and enhanced social rewards for virtual check-ins. The Elevate frequent flyer program continues to grow with more than 2.6 million members and expand its partnerships - including its most recent additions of Uber and now MOGL. Elevate program details can be viewed on the airline's website at: www.virginamerica.com/elevate.
"We're thrilled to be joining forces with Virgin America. I've always admired their ability to set the bar for innovation and style in air travel, and we strive to take a similar innovative approach to dining rewards here at MOGL," said Jon Carder, CEO and Co-Founder of MOGL. "Fulfilling their need for a dining partner in the Elevate program, while providing MOGL members an additional option to earn rewards when dining out, is a major milestone for us. We're excited to welcome Elevate members to MOGL and can't wait to see how many meals we'll donate together through our Meal for a Meal program."
For current MOGL members, this partnership opens up a new option for getting 'hooked up' when dining out as they will still continue to earn 10 percent cash back in their MOGL account, but now have the option to exchange their cash for Virgin America Elevate points. Members simply go to MOGL's website and add their Elevate account number in their settings, under payment preferences. MOGL members who are not current Elevate members are encouraged to join at www.virginamerica.com/elevate. All current, as well as new MOGL members, will continue to participate and support MOGL's Meal for a Meal program, which donates a meal to Feeding America whenever $20 is spent at a MOGL restaurant (www.mogl.com/feeding-america). Additionally, MOGL's monthly jackpot cash prizes will continue to be awarded to the top three spenders at each restaurant, with the new option to convert those dollars into Elevate points ($1 = 30 points).
