Dine With Detroit's Finest Master Chefs and Support Henry Ford's Transplant Institute
DETROIT, May 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Imagine having a tableside seat for a four-course meal prepared by the area's most creative executive chefs from more than 30 well-known metro area restaurants.
Guests attending the third-annual Dining with the Masters will enjoy a unique dining experience and support transplant patients at Henry Ford Hospital. Featuring a chef from each restaurant cooking tableside for 12 guests, the event will be held 6:30 – 10:30 p.m., Monday, June 6 at The Henry, an Autograph Hotel, Dearborn (formerly The Ritz-Carlton, Dearborn).
Each course will be paired with a hand-picked wine selection, specially chosen by the chef, to perfectly complement the dish. Each chef will also incorporate his or her creative talents in creating a one-of-a-kind tablescape, making each table as unique as the custom menu.
All proceeds from the evening will benefit the Henry Ford Transplant Institute, one of only two multi-organ transplant centers in Michigan. Since its first organ transplant in 1968, the lives of more than 4,700 patients have been saved by an organ transplant at Henry Ford Hospital.
The evening will also include the presentation of the Geno Zayid Celebration of Life Award to a deserving transplant patient or volunteer, and the Transplant Legacy Award to an individual or company who has made significant lasting contributions to the Henry Ford Transplant Institute.
Event co-chairs are Suzanne Gilson and Peggy Goldberg, both of Bloomfield Hills, and Mary Abouljoud of Grosse Pointe Park.
