Digital Entertainment World Announces First Keynote Speakers
UTA CEO-Founding Partner Jeremy Zimmer, EA COO Peter Moore and NBCU's Rick Cotton, Senior Counselor for IP Protection, to Headline February Event
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Entertainment World (DEW), the global event marketplace for digital executives focused on the entire ecosystem of digital content creation to monetization, today announced its first three keynote speakers for the inaugural three-day conference with the selection of Electronic Arts COO Peter Moore, UTA CEO / Co-Founder Jeremy Zimmer and Rick Cotton, NBC Universal's lead IP protection counselor.
These three visionaries will be among the headliners from across the digital ecosystem appearing at the new three-day conference set for February 18-20, 2014, at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
Moore, Zimmer and Cotton join a growing list of industry leaders from top digital entertainment brands participating in the event, including Netflix, Twitter, YouTube, Yahoo!, Ogilvy, Xbox, Playstation, OMD, ABC, CBS, NBCU, Roc Nation, Electus, American Express, Rovi, CAA, Hearst, CNN, Disney, HFA, Manatt, ESPN, Machinima, Maker Studios, Warner Bros. and IDG Ventures, among others. Moore will speak on February 20 and will be interviewed by Michael D. Gallagher, president and CEO of the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), the trade association representing U.S. computer and video game publishers.
Cotton and Zimmer are slated to headline the afternoon keynote sessions, respectively, on Tuesday, February 18, and Wednesday, February 19, when video/TV/film and digital publishing will be explored.
Zimmer is Chief Executive Officer and a founding partner of premier global talent and literary agency United Talent Agency, where he also sits on the firm's six-member board of directors. Cotton was named Senior Counselor for IP Protection, NBC Universal, in September 2013. In this role, he oversees the development of the company's antipiracy policy positions and initiatives, and works closely with the anti-piracy teams at NBCUniversal and Comcast. Since January 2007, Cotton has also served as Chairman of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce cross-sector Coalition Against Counterfeiting and Piracy (CACP), which represents over 500 companies and associations that have come together to fight the vital economic battle against counterfeiting and piracy. Moore's keynote appearance will kick off the video game related sessions on Thursday, February 20.
