NEW YORK, March 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Essence, a global digital agency, today announced the promotion of Jesse Cahill to North America Head of Media. Cahill most recently served as North America Head of Planning. His new role was previously held by Rob Reifenheiser, now CEO of the Americas.
Cahill first joined Essence's New York office in 2012, and over the course of his tenure has held roles including Client Director, Planning Director and most recently North America Head of Planning. Previously, he was a Digital Group Director at Omnicom Media Group. Prior to Omnicom, Cahill acted as Account Director at Medicom's Los Angeles office. Earlier roles include LA-based digital media planning positions at Beyond Interactive, MediaVest and Dailey and Associates. As the North America Head of Planning, Cahill participated in the winning pitch for Visa's programmatic business, oversaw award-winning media campaigns and architected planning as its own distinct discipline in North America. Cahill's new position holds him accountable for overseeing all of the agency's North America media disciplines, including Account Management, Advertising Operations, Biddable, Investment, Mobile, Performance, Planning, and Programmatic, which account for over 100 people across Essence's three US offices. Additionally, he will serve as the NYC office lead.
