DigiSight Technologies Expands Senior Management Team To Support Paxos™ Mobile Health Platform Launch And Future Development
Carol Hoang Named Vice President of Medical Affairs, Chet Kumar as Vice President of Sales and Support, and Allen Jones as Vice President of Product Management
SAN FRANCISCO, March 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- DigiSight Technologies, Inc., a digital health company developing mobile solutions to empower patients and help physicians improve care and clinical outcomes, today announced the addition of three new members to its senior management team, including Carol Hoang as vice president of medical affairs, Chet Kumar as vice president of sales and support, and Allen Jones as vice president of product management.

Dr. Hoang joins DigiSight with over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare industries, where she worked across multiple therapeutic areas, including cardiology, oncology and ophthalmology. She will lead DigiSight's medical strategy and serve as the primary liaison between DigiSight and the medical community to ensure successful development and commercialization of DigiSight's products while maximizing value for providers and patients.
Prior to joining DigiSight, Dr. Hoang was global medical director at Novartis based in Switzerland, where she led the global medical strategy for a new first in class anti-PDGF molecule. Previously, she held marketing and medical affairs positions at Genentech, where she launched Lucentis® in 2006. Before joining Genentech, Dr. Hoang held various roles at Oncology Therapeutics Network, a subsidiary of Bristol-Myers Squibb, and in managed care for CVS Caremark.
As vice president of sales and support, Mr. Kumar brings more than 15 years of experience in sales, marketing, healthcare reimbursement, strategic planning, and team leadership to lead DigiSight's commercialization efforts and meet the needs of the company's customers as adoption of the Paxos product portfolio accelerates after its recent launch.
Previously, Mr. Kumar held numerous marketing, reimbursement, and sales positions at VisionCare, including vice president of sales and market development where he was responsible for the commercialization of the first implantable medical device for age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Prior to joining VisionCare, Mr. Kumar held similar positions at venture-backed technology startups Oculex Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Allergan) and Incyte Pharmaceuticals.
Mr. Jones joins DigiSight with over 15 years of product management experience in the medical device industry. As vice president of product management, Mr. Jones will lead DigiSight's product strategy and planning, and develop systems and processes to guide product development efforts.
Mr. Jones was previously senior global product manager with Carl Zeiss Meditec, where he led global product management and strategic marketing for market-leading CIRRUSTM HD-OCT retinal imaging system in addition to corneal topography and anterior segment OCT imaging systems. Mr. Jones held prior product management positions at Thoratec Corporation and LifeScan, where he focused on the development of medical technologies for cardiology.
