DICOM Grid to Showcase New, iPhone viewing, EMR Integration and Image Sharing Features
Simple-To-Use Viewing and Collaboration Tools Allow Physicians and Medical Professionals to Easily View and Share Medical Images Anytime, Anywhere.
NEW YORK, Nov. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- RSNA, Booth #7110/ -- DICOM Grid, a cloud platform for medical imaging applications, today announced that it will debut several enhanced product features under its umbrella of enabling radiology collaboration during the Radiological Society of North America's (RSNA) 2014 Annual Meeting and Scientific Assembly, Nov. 30-Dec. 5 at McCormick Place in Chicago. As the world's leading provider of solutions for medical image exchange, DICOM Grid is focused on enabling greater healthcare productivity through its image viewing, sharing, storing and management technology.
DICOM Grid's core product line, DG Suite, is a global, cloud-based solution, which transforms the way studies are managed, shared and stored, by instantly connecting patients, doctors and facilities through an online image exchange platform. As part of its ongoing effort to promote "anywhere accessibility" to imaging across devices, DICOM Grid will feature enhanced mobile viewing capabilities, including a new iPhone optimized viewer, at RSNA later this month.
"We will showcase our award winning platform, DG Suite, at RSNA, as well as several expanded features that can be used by care providers to positively impact patient care, especially for those medical professionals who are constantly on-the-go," said Morris Panner, CEO, DICOM Grid. "DG Suite's enhanced mobile features place medical image viewing capabilities right in the palm of your hand."
DICOM Grid also will unveil the latest enhancements in its EMR integration capabilities, including how its technology can help bridge the gap between electronic medical records (EMR) and image management systems.
"If you ask any physician, they will likely tell you that imaging is a key component of the patient health record, and is often critical to diagnosis and treatment," said Panner. "DICOM Grid offers an innovative solution for embedding an encrypted imaging link directly into the patient record. This translates into EMR users gaining centralized access to diagnostic studies from within the patient jacket."
DICOM Grid recently expanded its technology for "DG Imageshare," a product in conjunction with the RSNA Image Share project. This year, DICOM Grid helped build out an "edge-server," which allows the company to now send studies to the RSNA network, as well as retrieve them. "This gave us 'Share with RSNA' capabilities in our product, making it easier than ever for a hospital to start distributing patient results – via RSNA – through the DG user interface," Panner said.
During RSNA, DICOM Grid will once again celebrate DICOM Grid Brasil. Last year, DICOM Grid expanded its footprint to support the growing demand for image exchange in Latin America. In recognition of this accomplishment, DICOM Grid will host a celebratory cocktail party at EPIC Lounge on Tuesday, December 2, from 7-10 p.m. Tickets are available via email at [email protected].
