DICK'S Sporting Goods Announces Grand Opening Celebration in Slidell, LA

PITTSBURGH, Feb. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- DICK'S Sporting Goods (NYSE: DKS), the largest U.S. based full-line omni-channel sporting goods retailer, invites the community of Slidell to their three-day grand opening. The celebration runs Friday, March 7 through Sunday, March 9 at the retailer's new Fremaux Town Center location (250 Town Center Parkway).  Special extended store hours will be in effect all weekend. Store opens at 8:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 9:00 a.m. Sunday.  

Throughout the weekend, DICK'S will host a variety of giveaways, including a free Under Armour Tech™ T-shirt for the first 100 people in line on Friday and a free Mystery Gift Card from $5 to $500 for the first 100 adults in line on Saturday and Sunday. Guests who get in line early will receive their unique combination for a chance to open the DICK'S Sporting Goods Gift Locker at 7:45 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and 8:45 a.m. on Sunday.*  

On Sunday, New Orleans running back Mark Ingram will make an in-store appearance from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.** Prior to joining the New Orleans Saints, Ingram played college football at the University of Alabama, where he won the Heisman Trophy in 2009.
