DICK'S Sporting Goods Announces Grand Opening Celebration at Parkway Shops in Jacksonville, FL

PITTSBURGH, March 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- DICK'S Sporting Goods (NYSE: DKS), the largest U.S. based full-line sporting goods retailer, invites the community of Jacksonville to their three-day grand opening weekend. The store will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, March 26 at 4:30 p.m. at the retailer's new Parkway Shops location, 14964 Max Leggett Parkway, Suite 300, and soft open on Wednesday, March 27. The grand opening celebration will begin on Friday, April 5 and continue through Sunday, April 7. Special extended store hours will be in effect for Friday (8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.), Saturday (8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.) and Sunday (9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.)

DICK'S Sporting Goods has a variety of special appearances and giveaways scheduled to celebrate the grand opening festivities. Blair Wiggins, professional fisherman and host of "Addictive Fishing," will be making a special appearance in store on Saturday, April 6 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.* Customers can also stop by DICK'S 4,000 gallon bass tank all weekend to learn tips and techniques from professional anglers.

The first 100 adults in line on Friday and Saturday will receive a free Mystery Gift Card ranging in value from $5 to $500, with one person winning the $500 card each day.** Also on Saturday, the first 100 people in line will get a free The North Face FLASHDRY® T-shirt. During the weekend, DICK'S will be running a Foursquare check-in contest.
