Dickey's Supports Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas

DALLAS, April 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas-Based Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants is sponsoring Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas on April 28 by supplying lunch for all volunteers and also providing company volunteers to help with the rebuild effort. The volunteer building event is part of April's National Rebuilding Month.

Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas is providing free home repairs for low-income families, including local veterans and disabled adults.  More than 200 volunteers are revitalizing 12 homes and refurbishing a new "Safe Home" for battered women and children on a full block on Starks Avenue in Dallas.

"At Rebuilding Together, our goal is to rebuild homes in the Dallas community and have a life-changing impact on families in need," said Maggie Brodnax, executive director of Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas. A variety of organizations from across Dallas-Fort Worth have pooled their efforts to assist in home repairs for Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas.  As a thank you to the community and volunteers for their efforts, Dickeys Barbecue has offered up its smokin' barbecue and sides.
