Dickey's Barbecue Pit Set to Open in Moline

MOLINE, Ill., May 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas-based Dickey's Barbecue, the largest quick serve restaurant in the country, will open its doors to the Moline community on Thursday, May 12.

The newest location is at 3419 Avenue of the Cities and the owner/operators are Chris Banks, Bruce Norden and Bill Jensen, a local resident of Moline.

"We are excited to open the location in Moline. It is a great place to work and do business," Franchise Owner Banks said.

This is the first location for Dickey's in the town and the second franchise for the partners.

"I can't wait for my community to come out and see what Dickey's barbecue is all about," Jensen noted.

Dickey's only began franchising in 1994.

The first Dickey's Barbecue opened in 1941 in Dallas, TX.

The original location is still open for business and Dickey's Barbecue is still owned and operated by the Dickey Family.
