Dickey's Barbecue Pit Plans for Washington Expansion
Country's Fastest Growing Barbecue Chain
GRAHAM, Wash., Aug. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Gary and Megan Depping are deciding between three locations for their first Dickey's Barbecue Pit, the largest quick-serve barbecue chain in the country, in Washington.
"I have been in the restaurant business for 25 years and it has always been my dream to own my own place. When I first heard about Dickey's, I was very intrigued by the concept. Once I had a chance to visit a Dickey's in the Midwest, I was convinced it was the best choice for me," said Depping, an employee of Burger King for the past 25 years.
Four locations are already planned across the state of Washington, but the Deppings are zoning in on Orting, Graham or Tacoma.
"I love the down-home country atmosphere, combined with the smell of barbecue when you walk in the door at Dickey's Barbecue, it just makes your mouth water," said Gary, who will run the restaurant with his wife, Megan.
This is the first franchise opportunity for the couple.
"We are so thrilled that Washington will be introduced to Dickey's Barbecue in a strong way and we will do everything we can to support these endeavors," President of Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. Roland Dickey, Jr. said.
Dickey's Barbecue Pit continues to evolve its business, with the most recent development being the recent launch of the national catering hotline at 1-866- BARBECUE.
The original Dallas location is still open for business and Dickey's Barbecue Pit is still owned and operated by the Dickey Family.
There are 166 locations in 38 states.
