FORT WORTH, Texas, Aug. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dickey's Barbecue Pit, the largest quick serve barbecue restaurant in the country, launches a new location in Fort Worth at 6219 Oakmont Blvd, which will be owned and operated by Kyle and Mike Dawson.

This is the 165th location nationwide for the DFW-based barbecue chain that celebrates its 70th anniversary this year.
"Training really brought the franchise experience full circle for both of us. We are opening our own restaurant and the challenges that come with that are much more exciting than intimidating," said Mike Dawson, who will run the restaurant with his son, Kyle.
Dickey's is growing at a rapid rate with a 38% growth rate over the past 2 years.
Dickey's began franchising in 1994.
The initial Dickey's Barbecue opened in 1941 in Dallas, TX and remains open for business.
