The Country's Largest Growing Barbecue Chain Opens New Location In Gramling
GRAMLING, S.C., March 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas-based Dickey's Barbecue, the largest barbecue chain in the country, is well-known for their hot pit-smoked barbecue meats, free ice cream and free big yellow cups— with a strong presence on the East Coast, the franchise is expanding in South Carolina opening a new location in Gramling.
This is the second location for Franchise Owners Todd Brents and Bill Friend.
This Dickey's is the first of its kind—a restaurant in the club house at the Village Greens Golf Course at 13921 Asheville Highway in Gramling.
The owners' other location is in Taylors.
The first Dickey's Barbecue opened in 1941 in Dallas, TX.
The original location is still open for business and Dickey's Barbecue is still owned and operated by the Dickey Family.
Dickey's only began franchising in 1994.
Even today, Dickey's still slow smokes all of their signature meats overnight in every restaurant.
