Owner/Operators Richard and Cheryl Cochran open the doors Thursday to the new store on S. Webb Rd. after operating the other Grand Island location for the past four years. Their other store is located in Kearney, NE. Originally from North Dakota, the couple spent 30 years in foodservice delivery. Post-retirement, the Cochrans have made Dickey's their family business and two of their four children participate in the operations of the stores. "Grand Island has been good to us and we are excited to open a store on the north side to better serve this great community," Richard says. "Owning and operating a Dickey's has given us more than a post-retirement occupation, it has given us new friends through all our loyal guests. We look forward to building even more relationships in our community by opening the new store."
