ROSEVILLE, Calif., Sept. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Roseville will jumpstart the school year by donating 15 percent of proceeds to Blue Oaks Elementary School on Wednesday, September 21.
"We are really excited to host this fundraiser for the local elementary school," said Tammi Sjoberg, who owns and operates the restaurant with her husband, Tom and brother, Mark Doney. "We hope to host at least 20 fundraising events this school year."
Students and/or their families come in for lunch or dinner and present the flyer that will be passed out during the school day.
"These fundraisers allow us to give back to our community with impact," Tammi said.
