Dickey's Barbecue In The Triangle Is Throwing A Party

CARY, N.C., Aug. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Dickey's Barbecue Pit in the Triangle is packing heat for their fifth anniversary celebration. The world's largest barbecue chain is hosting a three day customer appreciation event to commemorate the Triangle's love of barbecue and raise funds for local causes in the process.

"Community involvement and support has been instrumental in the growth of our brand nationwide," said Greg Woloszczuk, president GMW Carolina, Inc. the local company that owns three Dickey's Barbecue Pits in the Triangle. "Our local fan base has helped us grow from a single North Carolina location to three in the last five years – we couldn't have done it alone."

On Wednesday September 5 at Dickey's Barbecue in Durham, September 6 in Raleigh and September 7 in Cary, will be offering vouchers for free sandwiches with a small donation request.  The fast casual barbecue restaurant aims to raise a goal of $3,000 to give back to area organizations including Durham Rescue Mission, Raleigh Rescue Mission, and Pretty In Pink Foundation.  The vouchers can be redeemed anytime for the remainder of the year.

Dickey's Barbecue in Cary opened in 2007 and was the first location in North Carolina. There are currently 10 locations in North Carolina. Dickey's Barbecue added 70 new locations last year and is planning to add 100 more nationwide in 2012.
