Colombian WISP's network upgrade significantly increases user capacity

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill., Oct. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Cambium Networks™, a global leading provider of wireless broadband solutions, today announced that Dialnet de Colombia is upgrading its network to ePMP 1000. A customer of Cambium Networks for the past eight years, Dialnet is installing ePMP to provide higher throughput connectivity to its customers.

A regional WISP located in northern Colombia, Dialnet is using a combination of ePMP 1000 Integrated Radios and ePMP 1000 GPS Synchronized Radios to serve its residential and corporate subscribers in major cities such as Santa Marta and Barranquilla. In smaller towns, Dialnet's customers are mainly located within three kilometers of its towers spread out over mountainous terrain, requiring a solution that performs well in a high noise floor environment to ensure optimal performance.

We have deployed 67 subscriber modules per access point and have tested up to 87 active subscriber modules to a single access point, something we'd never experienced before.
