DHR International and Talent Africa both serve Fortune 1000 companies at the board, executive and functional vice president level. Both firms also share the same desire to address key client needs by providing the best global reach possible. "Forming a partnership with an Africa based firm is a strategic part of DHR's plan to continue expanding as a global provider of executive search," said David H. Hoffmann, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, DHR International.
Auguste Coetzer, Director of Talent Africa commented, "In order to service global clients with businesses in South Africa a strategic alliance with a well positioned executive search firm is of essence. Local search firms without an international alliance cannot compete with other international executive search companies already operating in South Africa. Talent Africa is often required to access South Africans working abroad, in order to attract them back to South Africa or to work in Africa. South Africans tend to adjust well in African countries and are viewed by international firms as able to penetrate African markets. A global alliance therefore enables Talent Africa to assist in bringing South African talent back to the African continent."
China is now one of South Africa's largest suppliers; they are funding infrastructure development in Africa in return for access to mineral deposits, particularly oil and steel. India has also become South Africa's tenth largest investor. DHR President Christine Greybe, a native South African, added, "The rush for long term investments in Africa by Chinese companies, together with the rising ambitions of African companies, is creating unprecedented demand for C-level talent. DHR's global footprint, which presently covers 13 countries, makes the firm an ideal partner for Talent Africa, while Talent Africa is perfectly suited to DHR's African strategy. The combined strength of the partnership should serve our clients well."
