What:

DH2i will present, "Mitigating SQL Server Lifecycle Risk."  This talk will open with a discussion around a common challenge being faced by the SQL community – that is, the growing list of features being introduced with each subsequent release of Microsoft SQL Server has led to an ever-increasing number of unique deployments.  Each new deployment has limited commonality to prior or future projects, and instances are often redeployed into the current "standard" or slight variant that is also short lived.  All of these "one-offs" increase the risks to SQL Server lifecycle cost, availability, agility, and IT's ability to meet business objectives and service level agreements (SLAs).  Attendees of this session will learn how to ensure their SQL Server lifecycle management practices result in complete risk mitigation, while maximizing the overall economic benefit of SQL Server throughout its lifecycle.
