At the official ribbon cutting ceremony on March 1, 2010, U.S. Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, Airport Board Member Bernice Washington and DFW International Airport CEO Jeff Fegan kicked off the Pappasito's Grand Opening festivities.
"DFW passengers have high expectations for their travel experience, and with new additions such as Pappasito's Cantina, our Concessions team is responding to passenger desires in order to make DFW the airport of choice for travelers," said Fegan.
Pappasito's offers hand-made Tex-Mex favorites -- sizzling skirt steak fajitas, cheesy enchiladas, and crispy chips and salsa. Keeping true to the Pappas tradition of freshness, all sauces, marinades, guacamole, salad dressings and even the Pappasito's delectable homemade tortillas are made from scratch. The only thing that comes frozen at Pappasito's is the margarita, made with fresh lime juice for an added zing.
"Opening a Pappasito's at DFW Airport is an exciting opportunity for us," said Pappas Restaurants' owner Harris Pappas. "This gives us the ability to introduce our great Tex-Mex food and service to an expanded group of guests."
Located in Terminal A, Gate 28, Pappasito's offers breakfast, lunch, dinner and has a to-go window for passengers on the move.
Pappasito's Cantina at DFW International Airport is owned and operated by Pappas Restaurants, in conjunction with KG Concessions DFW, L.P. of Dallas.
