DFW International Airport Kicks Off Summer Travel Season With Customer Rewards Program powered by Thanks Again
Travelers receive airline rewards for parking, shopping, dining or boarding pets at DFW; New mobile app guides family travelers
DFW AIRPORT, Texas, May 22, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport is kicking off the busy summer travel season by launching a customer rewards program powered by Thanks Again, in which passengers can earn airline mileage rewards for purchases at the Airport. Customers can start earning mileage rewards on May 24 for most purchases at DFW, including DFW Airport parking, shopping, dining or even boarding a pet.
"This customer rewards program is a great opportunity for travelers to benefit doubly from the services and products they already value at DFW Airport," said Jeff Fegan, CEO of DFW Airport. "We are always looking for ways to improve the passenger experience at DFW Airport, and this reward program is one more way DFW can provide excellent customer service."
"Thanks Again is excited to launch the only national airport-centric reward and passenger engagement program in one of the world's premier airports," said Marc Ellis, CEO of Thanks Again, LLC. "Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is a cornerstone member of the growing network of airports participating in the Thanks Again program, a network which is expanding globally and available to millions of travelers daily."
Enrollment in the program is free and takes only a few minutes with a debit or credit card. Travelers who sign up at www.thanksagain.com/dfw will receive a bonus of one hundred airline miles for enrolling anytime this year. Participating retail and dining outlets across DFW Airport will display the Thanks Again decal, and the Paradise 4 Paws pet hotel at DFW is also taking part in the program. Enrolled customers can start earning right away toward frequent flyer programs from American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier, United Airlines, US Airways and Hilton HHonors.
For the Memorial Day travel weekend running from May 23 through May 28, DFW Airport is expecting about 965,000 passengers to pass through the Airport, a drop of about 1.8% compared to the same period last year. The busiest travel days at DFW are expected to be Thursday, May 23 and Friday, May 24. So far this year, DFW is seeing an increase of 11% among international passengers.
The summer travel season marks a time when many families or leisure travelers take to the skies, so DFW Airport is offering some helpful hints for less experienced air travelers.
Travelers should arrive at least two hours before their flights. To help families get their travels off to a great start, DFW will have a team of porters in Terminal parking to assist with transporting luggage to the curb on some of the busiest days of the Memorial Day weekend.
Before leaving for your trip, download DFW Airport's free Official Mobile App to stay up to date on the latest flight information. The app includes flight and gate change notifications, and it can help you locate the many services and restaurants available at DFW. The Official DFW Airport Mobile App is available via free download for Android, Blackberry and Apple iOS devices.
Travelers can begin their vacations the moment they step into the terminals with many new amenities awaiting them, including 18 new shops and restaurants in Terminal A between gates A12 and A17. Free AT&T Wi-Fi is available throughout the Airport, as are children's play areas, with the newest just unveiled in Terminal A at Gate A12. The Aquafina Junior Flyers' Club features an interactive video wall, inspiring kids to get active while giving mom and dad a chance to recharge their electronic devices.
