DeVito/Verdi Looks to Claim Record-Setting Seventh 'AAAA O'Toole Award'
New York Agency Named Finalist For The 11th Time In Competition For Ad Industry's Top Prize
NEW YORK, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- In competing against four other creative agencies for the advertising industry's top prize, the New York-based DeVito/Verdi hopes its work on behalf of such diverse clients as restaurants and pest control companies will lead to an unprecedented seventh "Agency of the Year" award from the American Association of Advertising Agencies.
Considered the definitive award in the advertising industry, the annual O'Toole Award For Creative Excellence, bestowed by the AAAA, honors an agency's body of work throughout an entire year. Only four O'Toole Awards are handed out annually: Best Large Agency, Best Mid-Size Agency, Best Small Agency and the newly refreshed O'Toole Box Category. In addition to winning the coveted O'Toole Award, the four category winners will split $1,000,000 in media space donated by Clear Channel to showcase future ads and commercials for clients.
Previously, DeVito/Verdi was named "Best Agency" by the 4A's in 2004, 2000, and from 1995-98. The agency was also an O'Toole winner for producing the best Broadcast Public Service Announcement in 2003, and the best Print Public Service Announcement in 2001.
