NEW YORK, Sept. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Devialet, the pioneering French technology brand, today announced an expanded presence in the United States. Three new stores in high profile locations in New York City and San Francisco, will bring the brand's radical product lines to even more listeners. Devialet already has a flagship in SoHo as well as stores in Paris, London, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and a footprint across the globe via specialty audio retailers. And furthering the company's mission of making the best sound in the world accessible to everyone, Devialet has partnered with National Sawdust, the state of the art performance hall and non-profit, to livestream New York City concerts to a global audience. Devialet has also launched a mobile sound experience tour, set to hit top U.S. markets this fall.
Continuous, drastic and revolutionary inventions in audio engineering allow Devialet to provide listeners with an intense emotional experience, the way music is meant to be heard. The company designs, engineers and assembles all of its products in France, using proprietary technology protected by more than 100 patents.
In December 2016, Devialet accelerated its development with a record $100m in fundraising from leading international investors including investment from Ginko Ventures, Foxconn, Groupe Renault, Sharp Corporation, Andy Rubin's Playground Global and Jay Z's Roc Nation, to deploy its unique technologies in new industries through licensing partnerships, and accelerate its commercial development globally.
New Devialet stores in New York and San Francisco will feature Phantom – a wireless speaker that offers unparalleled acoustical performance, eliminating distortion, saturation and background noise. Visitors will be able to experience the sound processing revolution Devialet has led over the past decade inside the Immersive Room, a space specifically engineered to maximize powerful, distinctive and clear sound as delivered by Phantom.
"Our ambition is to be the pioneering role model of technology at the service of emotion throughout the world," said Quentin Sannié, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Devialet. "The profound experience one has when listening to music in precisely the way an artist intended is universal, so our evolution into the United States where we can share our technology is a logical next step."
