Developmental Disability Software Integrates with Utah State System for Incident Reporting

SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Utah Developmental Disability providers use Therap for direct submission of Incident Reports to the State system.

Therap Services, leader in electronic documentation software for Developmental Disability service providers, has released an interface for submitting Incident Reports directly to Utah's state documentation system through Therap.

Utah provider agencies currently use Therap to meet various documentations needs, including demographics, person centered individual support plans, care plans and more. In addition, Therap's incident reporting tool is available to Utah providers for documenting reportable events. The Utah Department of Human Services also requires Utah providers to submit incident reports to the state's documentation system using the USTEPS Provider Interface (UPI). In order to maximize efficiency and enhance user experience, Therap's new interface will allow providers to directly submit their incident reports to the UPI system using Therap as a medium, thus simplifying the documentation process,

Therap's Incident Reporting tool is used by agencies around the country to store and track incident reports on individuals they are providing support and care to. This tool is customized to support different state requirements and allows multiple related incidents to be recorded on one form. Medication errors can be logged here along with notes that serve to convey review comments to the staff who filed the original report.

Therap's incident reporting features were specifically designed to meet the requirements of the State of Utah. Providers are able to submit an Initial Notification for an incident via Therap to the State system. The information then automatically populates into the USTEPS Provider Interface.
